Evergreen is a provider of industrial cleaning services to a range of process industries, including refining, petrochemicals and utilities. The Company is headquartered near the Houston Ship Channel in La Porte, Texas and has additional branch locations in Beaumont, Lake Charles, Texas City and Corpus Christi. Evergreen is led by CEO Jon Hodges, a twenty-five year industry veteran who has built Evergreen from a start-up to one of the leading regional industrial cleaning providers in the Gulf Coast. Evergreen’s services include tank cleaning, industrial vacuuming, hydroblasting, waste transportation, chemical cleaning, and other related services.
Transaction Background:
Jon Hodges founded Evergreen in 2000 after working for sixteen years in the industrial cleaning industry. Since its formation, Evergreen has grown from a start-up to a large, regional provider with five locations along the Gulf Coast and over 360 employees. Evergreen now offers a range of industrial cleaning and waste transportation services to many of the largest refineries, petrochemical and power generation plants along the Gulf Coast.
Having achieved significant success with Evergreen, Mr. Hodges realized that the Company would benefit from bringing in a partner who could provide additional growth capital and assist with the strategic direction of the Company. Through a mutual acquaintance, Platform was introduced to Mr. Hodges in late 2010 and we spent the next few months getting to know Evergreen and the industrial cleaning industry. Platform established a partnership with Mr. Hodges and closed our investment in Evergreen in early 2011.
Evergreen is focused on continuing to build its business through investments in people, equipment and other organic growth initiatives, as well as strategic acquisitions.
